Kick off the Spring Celebration with a special sneak peek at Denise Santomero’s award-winning gardens at Rabbit Hill Farm! The Rabbit Hill gardens have been proposed to the Smithsonian Institute for the Archives of American Gardens.
Rabbit Hill Farm Gardens’ were featured on the Garden Conservancy Open Days for the past two years.
These gardens follow the original garden design from Mott Schmidt's award winning 1926 Country House of the Year, and have been updated to include native plants that are of no interest to the resident deer.
Several garden rooms have been added to incorporate outdoor living spaces that open to fields and meadows leading to the woodland walk and fern path.
This family friendly organic property allows for an informal pool garden, a classic English parterre garden, a peony garden (especially pink in early June) a vegetable garden that compliments the charming greenhouse, an extensive fruit orchard, horse paddocks embracing a pollinator field, and an allée of specimen linden trees all set within an historic Georgian design.
